Fiac ( identical in Occitan ) is a French commune with 925 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Plaine de l'Agoût (until 2015: canton of Saint-Paul-Cap-de-Joux ).

geography

Fiac is about 30 kilometers east of Toulouse and about 25 kilometers west-northwest of Castres am Agout , which borders the municipality in the south. Fiac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Gauzens and Briatexte in the north, Cabanès in the east and northeast, Damiatte in the east and southeast, Teyssode and Viterbe in the south, Lavaur in the west and southwest, Labastide-Saint-Georges in the west and Ambres in the northwest.
