Caucalières is a French commune with 286 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Mazamet-1 (until 2015 Mazamet-Sud-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Caucaliérois .

location

Caucalières is located on the northwestern foothills of the Montagne Noire ( Eng . "Black Mountains"). The municipality is located about ten kilometers southeast of Castres . Caucalières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Valdurenque in the north, Payrin-Augmontel in the east, Aiguefonde in the south, Labruguière in the west and Castres and Lagarrigue in the west and southwest.
