Teulat ( Occitan Taulat ) is a French commune with 496 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Castres and the canton Lavaur Cocagne (until 2015 Lavaur ). The inhabitants are called Teulatois .

Teulat is located about 22 kilometers east-northeast of Toulouse and about 45 kilometers west-northwest of Castres . Neighboring municipalities of Teulat are Verfeil in the north and west, Belcastel in the east and northeast, Montcabrier in the east and southeast and Bourg-Saint-Bernard in the south.
