Saint-Affrique-les-Montagnes ( Occitan : Sant Africa de las Montanhas ) is a French commune with 729 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Castres and the canton of La Montagne noire (until 2015: canton of Labruguière ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Affricains .

Saint-Affrique-les-Montagnes is about eight kilometers south-southwest of the city center of Castres . Saint-Affrique-les-Montagnes is surrounded by the neighboring communities Viviers-lès-Montagnes in the north and west, Navès in the north and north-east, Labruguière in the east, Escoussens in the south and Verdalle in the south-west.
