Le Vintrou is a French commune with 85 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Mazamet-2 Vallée du Thoré (until 2015 Mazamet-Nord-Est ).

location

Le Vintrou is located on the northern foothills of the Montagne Noire ( Eng . "Black Mountains"). The community is located about 23 kilometers east-southeast of Castres . Le Vintrou is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Le Rialet in the north, Lasfaillades in the north and northeast, Saint-Amans-Valtoret in the south and east and Pont-de-Larn in the west and southwest.
