Teyssode ( Occitan : Teissòde ) is a French commune with 372 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Plaine de l'Agoût (until 2015: canton of Saint-Paul-Cap-de-Joux ).
geography
Teyssode is about 35 kilometers east of Toulouse and about 20 kilometers west-northwest of Castres am Agout , which borders the municipality in the north. Teyssode is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Viterbe in the north, Damiatte in the northeast, Saint-Paul-Cap-de-Joux in the east, Prades in the southeast, Magrin in the south, Pratviel in the west and southwest, Massac-Séran in the west and northwest and Lavaur in the Northwest.
