Viane ( Occitan Viana ) is a southern French municipality with 534 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Le Bez belongs to the Arrondissement of Castres and the canton of Les Hautes Terres d'Oc (until 2015 Lacaune ). The inhabitants are called Vianais .

Viane is located about 40 kilometers northeast of Castres . Viane is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Masnau-Massuguiès in the north and northeast, Saint-Salvi-de-Carcavès in the northeast, Senaux and Escroux in the east, Lacaune in the southeast, Gijounet in the south, Berlats in the south and southwest, Espérausses in the southwest and Lacaze in the West.
