Lagarrigue ( Occitan : La Garriga ) is a French commune with 1,823 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Castres and is part of the canton of Mazamet-1 (until 2015: canton of Labruguière ). The inhabitants are called Lagarriguois .
geography
Lagarrigue is about three kilometers southeast of the city center of Castres on the Durenque River . Lagarrigue is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Castres in the north and west, Valdurenque in the east, Caucalières in the south and south-east and Labruguière in the south-west.
Castres-Mazamet Airport is located in the south of the municipality .
