Lelin-Lapujolle ( Gascon : Lo Lin e La Pujòla) is a French commune with 278 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitania region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande .
geography
Lelin-Lapujolle is located around 10 kilometers east of the small town of Aire-sur-l'Adour in the west of the Gers department. It belongs to the Côtes de Saint-Mont wine region . The main bodies of water are the Lelin and Peyroutas streams, as well as numerous reservoirs and small ponds. The most important supra-regional transport connection is the A65 autoroute (part of Europastraße 7 ), a few kilometers west of the municipality . Saint-Germé is the nearest bus stop (bus route 940 Mont-de-Marsan - Aire-sur-l'Adour - Tarbes).
Lelin-Lapujolle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lanne-Soubiran in the north, Saint-Griède in the northeast, Caumont in the southeast, Saint-Germé in the south, Barcelonne-du-Gers in the southwest, Arblade-le-Bas in the southwest and west and Luppé- Violles in the northwest.
history
The municipality is historically located within Gascony and belongs to the Bas-Armagnac region . From 1793 to 1801 Lelin and Lapujolle belonged to the Nogaro district, from 1793 to 1802 to the canton of Barcelonne and then until 2015 to the canton of Riscle . In 1822 Lelin and Lapujolle (1821: 191 inhabitants) merged to form the municipality of Lelin-Lapujolle.
