Bassoues ( Gascon : Bassoas ) is a French municipality with 321 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania (before 2016: Midi-Pyrenees ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande and is part of the canton of Pardiac-Rivière-Basse (until 2015: canton of Montesquiou ). The inhabitants are called Bassouais .

Bassoues is about 23 kilometers west-southwest of Auch . Bassoues is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Peyrusse-Grande in the north and north-west, Callian in the north, Castelnau-d'Anglès in the north-east, Montesquiou in the east, Puylebon in the south-east, Saint-Christaud in the south, Laveraët in the south-west, Armous-et-Cau in the West and Gazax-et-Baccarisse in the north-west.
Bassoues is located on Via Tolosana , one of the four historical " Routes of the St. James pilgrims in France ".
