AVERON-Bergelle ( Gascon : Averon e Bergela ) is a French municipality with 143 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Okzitanien ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande .
geography
Avéron-Bergelle is around 43 kilometers (as the crow flies) west-northwest of the city. Also in the west of the Gers department, it belongs to the Côtes de Saint-Mont wine-growing region and the Armagnac brandy region . Numerous bodies of water originate or cross the municipal area. Most important are the Douze and Midouzon rivers . In addition to small dams, there are also several ponds in the municipality, including the Étang du Moura . Route Nationale 124 passes a few kilometers north of the municipality . The closest bus stop is Manciet on line 934 Auch - Mont-de-Marsan.
Avéron-Bergelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities Espas in the northeast, Séailles in the east, Margouët-Meymes in the southeast, Aignan in the southwest, Loubédat in the west and Cravencères in the northwest.
history
The municipality is historically located within Gascony and belongs to the Bas-Armagnac region . From 1793 to 1801 Avéron-Bergelle was part of the Nogaro district and from 1793 to 2015 it was part of the canton of Aignan . In 1821 the former municipality of Bergelle (1821: 122 inhabitants) was incorporated.
