Izotges is a French commune with 105 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement Mirande and the municipal association Bastides et Vallons du Gers . The residents call themselves Izotgeois .

geography

The municipality is located about 45 kilometers northeast of Pau and 45 kilometers west of Auch at the confluence of the Arros and Adour . Here the Adour changes its direction of flow from north to west. Neighboring municipalities of Izotges are Termes-d'Armagnac in the north, Tasque in the south-east, Cahuzac-sur-Adour in the south-west, Riscle in the west and Sarragachies in the north-west.

Economy and Infrastructure

Two farms are located in the municipality of Izotges (cereal cultivation, poultry farming).

The D 173 road from Termes-d'Armagnac to Maubourguet runs through Izotges ; on the opposite left bank of the Adour , the D 935 road runs from Riscle to Tarbes . The next motorway junction is 25 kilometers to the west near Aire-sur-l'Adour on the Autoroute A 65 .
