Blousson-Sérian is a French commune with 42 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande and the canton of Pardiac-Rivière-Basse (until 2015: canton of Marciac ).
The inhabitants are called Blousson-Sérianais and Blousson-Sérianaises .
geography
Blousson-Sérian is located about 19 kilometers southwest of Mirande in the historic province of Armagnac on the southern edge of the department.

Blousson-Sérian lies in the catchment area of the Adour River . The Laüs , a tributary of the Bouès , crosses the territory of the commune.
history
In 1822 the parishes of Blousson and Sérian were merged. Since then the municipality has been called Blousson-Sérian
Population development
After the records began, the number of inhabitants rose to a high of around 250 by the middle of the 19th century. In the following period, the size of the community fell, with intermittent recovery phases to this day.

Attractions
- Church de l'Assomption in Blousson. It contains two items of equipment that have been inscribed as Monument historique since January 20, 2004 :
- a cabinet made of oak and walnut wood to close the baptismal font from the 18th century and
- a holy water font of marble from the second half of the 18th century.
