Pouydraguin ( Gascon : Poidraguin ) is a French municipality with 131 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Okzitanien ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande .
geography
Pouydraguin is about 44 kilometers (as the crow flies) west of the city. Also in the west of the Gers department and belongs to the Côtes de Saint-Mont wine-growing region and the Armagnac brandy region . Numerous bodies of water arise, lie or cross the municipal area. Most important is the Midou River . There are also several small dams in the municipality. The community is located away from important national transport connections. The closest bus stop is Cahuzac-sur-Adour on line 940 Tarbes - Mont-de-Marsan.
Pouydraguin is surrounded by the neighboring communities Bouzon-Gellenave in the north-west and north, Aignan in the north-east, Loussous-Débat in the east, Lasserrade in the south-east and south, Tasque in the south-west and Termes-d'Armagnac in the west.
history
The municipality is historically located within Gascony and belongs to the Bas-Armagnac region . From 1793 to 1801 Pouydraguin belonged to the Nogaro district. From 1793 to 1801 also to the canton of Plaisance, then to 2015 to the canton of Aignan .
