Riscle ( Gascon : Riscla ) is a French municipality with 1,830 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande and the canton of Adour-Gersoise .
It was created as the Commune nouvelle of the same name with effect from January 1, 2019 through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities Riscle and Cannet , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Riscle.

geography
The municipality is located around 18 kilometers southeast of Aire-sur-l'Adour in the valley of the River Adour , in the historic province of Gascogne , and in the wine-growing region of Côtes de Saint-Mont .
Neighboring municipalities are: Maulichères and Sarragachies in the north, Izotges in the northeast, Cahuzac-sur-Adour in the east, Goux in the southeast, Saint-Lanne and Maumusson-Laguian in the south, Viella in the southwest, Saint-Mont in the west and Tarsac in the northwest.
