Monties ( Gascon : Montias) is a French commune with 77 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitanie region (until 2015 Midi-Pyrénées ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande and the municipal association Val de Gers . The residents call themselves Montisois / Montisoises .

geography

Monties is located around 26 kilometers southeast of Mirande and 30 kilometers south-southeast of Auch in the very south of the Gers department. The community consists of hamlets, numerous scattered settlements and individual farmsteads.

Neighboring communities are Meilhan in the north, Gaujan in the north-east, Monbardon in the east and south-east, Sarcos in the south, Aussos in the south-west and west and Sère in the west and north-west.
