history

From 1793 to 1801, all districts belonged to the Auch district. In addition, Arcagnac was part of the canton of Seissan from 1793 to 1801, while Haulies was assigned to the canton of Auch. From 1801 to 1824 Haulies was in the canton of Auch-Sud. The current district of Arcagnac, however, is in the canton of Saramon. From 1824 both districts belonged to the canton Auch-Sud and from 1973 to 2015 they were part of the canton Auch-Sud-Est-Seissan . The entire municipality has been assigned to the arrondissement Auch since 1801. In 1824 the previously independent municipality of Arcagnac (1821: 54 inhabitants) was incorporated into the municipality of Haulies.
