The canton Auch-3 is a French canton in the Occitanie region . It is located in the arrondissements of Auch and Mirande in the Gers department . The capital of the canton is the city of Auch.

history
The canton was created on March 22, 2015 as part of the reorganization of the cantons. Until 2015, its communes belonged to the cantons of the cantons of Auch-Sud-Est-Seissan (7 communes) and Auch-Sud-Ouest (2 communes).

Elections to the Council of the Gers Department
In the elections on March 22, 2015, no party achieved a majority. In the runoff election in the 2nd ballot on March 29, 2015, the pairing Claude Bourdil / Cathy Daste-Leplus ( PS ) won against Josette Gesta / Roland Sturmel (Divers droite) with a share of the vote of 60.67% (turnout: 48.74% ).
