The canton of Fezensac is a French constituency in the Occitania region . It is located in the arrondissements of Auch and Condom in the Gers department . The main town is Vic-Fezensac .

The canton is located in the center of the department west and northwest of Auch .

history

The canton was created on March 22, 2015 as part of the reorganization of the cantons. Until 2015, its communes belonged to the cantons of Vic-Fezensac (15 communes), Eauze (8 communes), Valence-sur-Baïse (5 communes), Montesquiou (3 communes) and Aignan (2 communes).

Elections to the Council of the Gers Department

In the elections on March 22, 2015, no party achieved a majority. In the second ballot on March 29, 2015, the duo of Marie-Martine Dalla-Barba / Robert Frairet ( UMP ) against Philippe Cahuzac / Sylvie Lasportes-Sanchez (Divers gauche) won with a share of 65.09% of the votes (turnout: 64.03%).
