Noulens ( Gaskognisch : Nolens ) is a French commune with 104 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitanie region ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Condom and the community association Communauté de communes du Grand-Armagnac .

geography

Noulens is located around 39 kilometers west-northwest of the small town. Also in the northwest of the Gers department and belongs to the Armagnac brandy area .

The municipality includes the settlements Artiguedayne, Bourguet, Le Haou, Noulens and individual farms.

history

After the phylloxera crisis that destroyed the vineyards, many people moved away in the 19th century. Historically, Noulens belongs to the Comté de (Vic-) Fezensac region within Gascony. The place belonged to the District Condom from 1793 to 1801 and from 1793 to 2015 to the canton of Eauze .
