Montestruc-sur-Gers ( Gaskognisch Montastruc ) is a French commune with 705 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitanie region ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Condom and the municipality association Lomagne Gersoise . Its inhabitants call themselves Montestrucois / Montestrucoises .
geography
Montestruc-sur-Gers is located around 17 kilometers north-northeast of the city, also in the east of the Gers am Gers department . The community consists of the town of Montestruc-sur-Gers, the hamlets of Le Baleyron and Le Palluat and individual farmhouses. In terms of traffic, it is on the N21 .
history
The place belonged from 1793 to 1801 to the District Lectoure. In addition, Montestruc-sur-Gers was within the canton of Fleurance from 1801 to 2015 . The parish was assigned to the Arrondissement of Lectoure from 1801 to 1926. This was dissolved in 1926 and the municipality part of the Condom arrondissement.
