Castera-Lectourois ( Gascon Lo Casterar Leitores ) is a French municipality with 350 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Okzitanien ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Condom and the municipality association Lomagne Gersoise . Its inhabitants call themselves Castéralais / Castéralaises .
geography
Castéra-Lectourois is located on a hill about 37 kilometers north of the city Auch in the north of the Gers department. The community consists of the village of Castéra-Lectourois, several hamlets and individual farms. In terms of traffic, the community is located on the D219 away from major long-distance traffic routes.
history
The place is in Lomagne , which was a vice-county in the Middle Ages. The community belonged to the District Lectoure from 1793 to 1801. In addition, Castéra-Lectourois was located within the canton of Lectoure from 1793 to 2015 . The parish was assigned to the Arrondissement of Lectoure from 1801 to 1926. This was dissolved in 1926 and the municipality part of the Condom arrondissement.
