The commune of Eauze is located in the French region of Occitania in the Gers department . The small town with 3918 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) is considered the capital of Armagnac . The municipality belongs to the canton of Armagnac-Ténarèze . Eauze was the capital of the canton of Eauze until 2015 .

Eauze can look back on more than 2000 years of history.
