It belongs to the canton of Grand-Bas-Armagnac (until 2015 Nogaro ) and to the Arrondissement Condom . The inhabitants are called Monguilhémois .

Monguilhem is located about 80 kilometers north-northeast of Pau . Monguilhem is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montégut in the north and north-west, Castex-d'Armagnac in the north and east, Toujouse in the south and south-east, Bourdalat in the west and south-west and Perquie in the west.
