Pauilhac ( Gaskognisch Paulhac ) is a French commune with 618 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitanie region ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Condom and the municipality association Lomagne Gersoise . Its inhabitants are called Pauilhacais / Pauilhacaises .

geography

Pauilhac is around 26 kilometers north of the city Auch in the northeast of the Gers department. The community consists of the village of Pauilhac, the hamlet of La Maison Neuve and individual farms. In terms of traffic technology, it is located away from major traffic routes on the D123.

history

The place belonged from 1793 to 1801 to the District Lectoure. Also from 1793 to 1801 to the canton of Lectoure. After that, Pauilhac was within the canton of Fleurance from 1801 to 2015 . The parish was assigned to the Arrondissement of Lectoure from 1801 to 1926. This was dissolved in 1926 and the municipality part of the Condom arrondissement.
