Panya ( Gascon PANJAS ) is a French commune of 400 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). It belongs to the canton of Grand-Bas-Armagnac (until 2015 Cazaubon ) and the Arrondissement Condom . The inhabitants are called Panjagais .

location

Panjas is about sixty kilometers north-northeast of Pau . Panjas is surrounded by the neighboring communities Estang in the north, Lias-d'Armagnac in the northeast, Bourrouillan in the east, Salles-d'Armagnac in the east and southeast, Caupenne-d'Armagnac in the south, Lajauzan in the southwest, Monlezun-d'Armagnac in the West as well as Maupas in the northwest.
