Noailhac is a village and a former French commune with 157 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Rodez and the canton of Lot et Dourdou .
With effect from 1 January 2016, the former municipalities were Conques , Noailhac , Saint-Cyprien-sur-Dourdou and Grand-Vabre to nouvelle commune named Conques-en-Rouergue merged and have in the new community the status of a Déléguée commune held . The administrative headquarters are in Conques.
Noailhac is located on the historical route of the French Way of St. James, Via Podiensis .
Geography and traffic
Noailhac is located on the southwestern edge of the Massif Central , south over the Lot Valley, about five kilometers from Conques and about 28 kilometers southeast of Figeac . The closest major French cities are Lyon (234 km) in the northeast, Toulouse (130 km) in the southwest, Bordeaux (236 km) in the west and Montpellier (160 km) in the southeast.
A road connection leads to Noailhac via the D233 and D606 in a south-westerly direction.

Way of St. James ( Via Podiensis )
There are few places to stay in Noailhac. There is a pilgrims' hostel (French: Gîte d'étape ) in town. Past the St. Roch pilgrimage chapel , the Way of St. James leads through hilly pastureland to the next larger town, Decazeville . Road access to Decazeville is via routes D502 and D840.
