Concots is a French commune in the department of Lot in the region Occitania . The town with 423 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) is located in the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park . The Célé variant of the French Camino de Santiago Via Podiensis leads through Concots . This variant is marked as the GR 651 long-distance hiking trail .

Concots is located on the south-western edge of the Massif Central in the area of the regional nature park Causses du Quercy south of the Lot .
The next town is Cahors , which can be reached in a westerly direction via the D911 after about 25 kilometers by road. The nearest major French cities are Toulouse (90 km) in the south, Bordeaux (184 km) in the north-west and Montpellier (199 km) in the south-east.
Way of St. James ( Via Podiensis )
In Concots there is a pilgrim hostel (French: Gîte d'étape ), there are other accommodations on the way to Cahors , including in Vaylats , about 500 meters south of the GR 65 , in Mas de Vers , in Le Gascou , about 500 meters south of the GR 65, in Laburgade , about one kilometer north of the GR65. The Célé variant ( long-distance hiking trail GR 651 ) continues over the Causses du Quercy to reunite with the GR 65 at the hamlet of Bach, between Limogne-en-Quercy and Varaire , and then to reach Cahors.
As a road connection, the D4911 leads to Concots. The alternative road connection follows near the GR 65 via the D26 and D22 to Cahors.
