Lhospitalet ( Occitan : L'Espitalet ) is a French commune in the department of Lot in the region Occitania . The municipality with 168 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) belongs to the Arrondissement of Cahors and the canton of Marches du Sud-Quercy (until 2015: canton of Castelnau-Montratier ).

Lhospitalet is about 14 kilometers southwest of Cahors . Lhospitalet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Labastide-Marnhac in the north and northwest, Le Montat in the north and northeast, Cieurac in the east, Fontanes in the southeast and Pern in the south and west.

The community is on the Via Podiensis , a variant of the Camino de Santiago .
