Pern ( Occitan : Pèrn ) is a French commune in the Lot department in the Occitanie region . The municipality with 449 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) belongs to the Arrondissement of Cahors and the canton of Marches du Sud-Quercy (until 2015: canton of Castelnau-Montratier ).

Pern is about 14 kilometers south-southwest of Cahors . The Barguelonne rises here . Pern is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Labastide-Marnhac and Lhospitalet in the north, Fontanes in the east, Saint-Paul-Flaugnac in the south, Castelnau Montratier-Sainte Alauzie in the south and southwest and Cézac in the west.
