Lendou-en-Quercy is a French commune with 642 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Cahors and the Canton of Luzech .

geography

Lendou-en-Quercy is about 30 kilometers north of Montauban am Lendou . Lendou-en-Quercy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montcuq-en-Quercy-Blanc in the north and north-west, Barguelonne-en-Quercy in the north and north-east, Cézac in the east and north-east, Castelnau Montratier-Sainte Alauzie in the east, Sauveterre in the south, Tréjouls in the south and southwest and Montlauzun in the west.

history

Lendou-en-Quercy was created as Commune nouvelle as part of a regional reform on January 1, 2018 through the merger of three former municipalities, which are now districts of Lendou-en-Quercy ( Communes déléguées ). The municipalities of Lascabanes , Saint-Cyprien Saint-Laurent-Lolmie were merged. The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Cyprien. Lascabanes is a stage on the Via Podiensis , a variant of the Camino de Santiago .
