Trespoux-Rassiels ( Occitan : Trespotz ) is a French commune in the Lot department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality with 1,226 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) belongs to the Arrondissement of Cahors and the canton of Cahors-3 (until 2015: canton of Cahors-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Trespouziens .
geography
Trespoux-Rassiels is located about six kilometers southwest of the city center of Cahors on the southwestern edge of the Massif Central and the western edge of the Cevennes . Trespoux-Rassiels is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pradines in the north, Cahors in the east and northeast, Labastide-Marnhac in the southeast, Villesèque in the south and west, Cambayrac in the west and Saint-Vincent-Rive-d'Olt in the west and northwest.
