Lamagdelaine ( Occitan : La Magdalena ) is a French commune in the department of Lot in the region Occitania . The municipality with 698 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) belongs to the arrondissement of Cahors and the canton of Cahors-2 (until 2015: canton of Cahors-Nord-Est ).

Lamagdelaine is located on the southwestern edge of the Massif Central on several loops of the Lot River , which form the southern boundary of the municipality. The river loops are enforced by the western edge of the Cevennes . Lamagdelaine is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Bellefont-La Rauze with Valroufié in the north and northwest, Saint Géry-Vers with verse in the east, Arcambal in the south and southeast, Cahors in the west and southwest and Laroque-des-Arcs in the west and northwest.
