The Communauté d'agglomération du Grand Cahors is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the Lot department in the Occitanie region . It was founded on December 30, 2009 and comprises 36 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Cahors .

Historical development

The community association was established in 2009 under the name Communauté de communes du Grand Cahors and was converted into the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération with effect from January 1, 2012. In the following years, other municipalities joined the association, in particular through the dissolution of the Communauté de communes Lot-Celé .
