Labastide-Marnhac ( Occitan : La Bastida de Marnhac ) is a French commune in the Lot department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality with 1,226 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) belongs to the Arrondissement of Cahors and the canton of Cahors-3 (until 2015: canton of Cahors-Sud ).
geography
Labastide-Marnhac is about seven kilometers south-southwest of the city center of Cahors on the southwestern edge of the Massif Central and the western edge of the Cevennes . Labastide-Marnhac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Trespoux-Rassiels in the north and north-west, Cahors in the north and north-east, Le Montat in the east, Lhospitalet in the south-east, Pern in the south, Cézac in the south-west and Villesèque in the west.
