The canton of Gascogne-Auscitaine is a French constituency in the Occitanie region . It is located in the arrondissement of Auch of the Gers department . The capital of the canton is Preignan .

history
The canton was created on March 22, 2015 as part of the reorganization of the cantons. Until 2015, its communes belonged to the cantons of Jegun (10 communes), Auch-Nord-Ouest (7 communes), Auch-Nord-Est (4 communes) and Valence-sur-Baïse (1 commune).

Elections to the Council of the Gers Department
In the elections on March 22, 2015, no party achieved a majority. In the second ballot on March 29, 2015, the duo Bernard Ksaz / Lydie Toison ( PS ) won against Pierre Cahuzac / Christel Dulhoste (Divers droite) with 57.74% of the votes (turnout: 60.41%).
