Castin ( Gascon identical) is a French municipality with 343 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). It belongs to the arrondissement Auch and the canton Gascogne-Auscitaine (until 2015 Auch-Nord-Ouest ). Castin is also a member of the Grand Auch Cœur de Gascogne community association founded in 2001 . The inhabitants are called Castinois (es) .

Castin is about six kilometers northwest of the city of Auch . The Loustère rises in Castin . Castin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Castillon-Massas in the north and northeast, Auch in the south and east, Duran in the southeast, Ordan-Larroque in the west and Saint-Lary in the northwest.
