Maurens ( Gascon is identical) is a French municipality with 311 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). It belongs to the arrondissement Auch and the canton Gimone-Arrats (until 2015 Gimont ). The inhabitants are called Maurensois .
geography
Maurens is about 46 kilometers west of Toulouse . Neighboring communities are Gimont in the north and northwest, Giscaro in the north, Frégouville in the east and southeast, Lahas in the south and southwest and Montiron in the west.
