Lias ( Gaskognisch Liars ) is a French commune with 620 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the arrondissement Auch and the canton L'Isle-Jourdain . The inhabitants are called Liassois .
geography
Lias is about 20 kilometers west of Toulouse . Neighboring communities are L'Isle-Jourdain in the north and northwest, Pujaudran in the north and northeast, Fontenilles in the east, Bonrepos-sur-Aussonnelle in the south and Auradé in the west.
