Aurimont ( Gascon is identical) is a French municipality with 205 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). It belongs to the arrondissement Auch and the canton Astarac-Gimone (until 2015 Saramon ). The inhabitants are called Aurimontois .

geography

Aurimont is about 50 kilometers west of Toulouse . Neighboring communities are Saint-Caprais in the north and north-west, Montiron in the north and north-east, Saint-André in the east and south-east, Polastron in the south, Tirent-Pontéjac in the south-west and Bédéchan in the west.

history

In 1287 the bastide was founded by Eustache de Beaumarchais .
