Boulaur is a French commune with 179 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Auch and the canton Astarac-Gimone (until 2015: canton Saramon ).
The inhabitants are called Boulaucois and Boulaucoises .

Boulaur is located around 20 kilometers southeast of Auch in the historic province of Armagnac .

Boulaur is located in the catchment area of the Garonne River .
The Gimone , one of its tributaries, flows along the southeastern border to the neighboring municipality of Tirent-Pontéjac.
Tributaries of the Gimone cross the territory of the municipality:
- the Ruisseau du Cros,
- the Ruisseau de Pouzaques and its tributary,
- the Ruisseau de Cougin,
- the Ruisseau de Saint-Germier and
- the Ruisseau de Lamazon.
Population development
After the records began, the population rose to a high of around 475 by the middle of the 19th century. In the following period, the size of the community fell to the lowest level of around 125 inhabitants by the 1990s, before a phase of growth set, which continues to this day.
