Mérens ( Gascon identical) is a French commune with a population of 64 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). It belongs to the arrondissement Auch and the canton Gascogne-Auscitaine ( Jegun until 2015 ). Mérens is also a member of the Grand Auch Cœur de Gascogne community association founded in 2001 .

Mérens is about seventy kilometers west-northwest of Toulouse . Mérens is surrounded by the neighboring communities Lavardens in the north and west, Roquefort in the northeast and Peyrusse-Massas in the south and east.
