Cuélas ( Gascon : Cuelàs) is a French municipality with 124 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania (2015 Midi-Pyrénées ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande and the municipal association Val de Gers . The residents call themselves Cuélassiens / Cuélassiennes .

geography

Cuélas is located around 19 kilometers south-southeast of Mirande and 35 kilometers southwest of Auch in the very south of the Gers department on the border with the Hautes-Pyrénées department . The community consists of numerous scattered settlements and individual farmsteads.

Neighboring communities are Saint-Ost in the north, Ponsan-Soubiran in the east, Guizerix (in the Hautes-Pyrénées department) in the south, Duffort in the south-west and west and Sainte-Aurence-Cazaux in the north-west.
