Haget is a French commune in the department of Gers in the region Occitania .
geography
The municipality is located about 25 kilometers north of Tarbes in the Gascony region . The western municipal boundary is also the border between the Gers and Hautes-Pyrénées departments. The administration of the Gers Department is located in Auch , about 50 kilometers northeast of Haget. The closest major city is Toulouse, about 130 kilometers away .
In the north-west of the commune is the Côtes de Saint-Mont wine-growing region . Likewise the historical region of Armagnac . The famous Armagnac brandy has been produced there since the late Middle Ages .
The Via Tolosana and the Via Podiensis , two of the French sections of the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela pass north of Haget. The pilgrimage site of Lourdes is located about 50 kilometers further north in the foothills of the Pyrenees .

Haget borders the municipality of Beccas in the north, Malabat and Betplan in the east, Villecomtal-sur-Arros in the south-west, Rabastens-de-Bigorre in the south and Ségalas and Barbachen in the west . Rabastens-de-Bigorre, Ségalas and Barbachen belong to the Hautes-Pyrénées department , all others to the Gers department.
Waters
The Estéous flows along near the western municipal boundary. The Arros forms the eastern boundary of the municipality.
Attractions
The interior of the Saint-Saturnin church is particularly worth seeing. This dates from the 18th century.
