Yps - The show was a knowledge magazine of the TV station RTL Nitro , which was broadcast in the years 2013-2015 and moderated by Jan Köppen .

The TV format is part of the relaunch of the Yps magazine launched in 1975 (“with gimmick”) . Yps - The program has been produced by Endemol beyond on behalf of RTL Nitro since 2013. The moderation by Jan Köppen is supported by " Doktor Allwissend ".
The pilot program broadcast in December 2013 was nominated for the Grimme Prize . In January 2014, a first ten-episode season was ordered, which was broadcast weekly from April 2014 at around 10 p.m.
The second season, consisting of five episodes, was broadcast between April and November 2015. The episode length was increased from approx. 25 minutes in the first season to approx. 55 minutes in the second season.
