Loussous-Débat ( Gascon : Lo Sos Devath) is a French municipality with 62 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Okzitanien ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande .

geography

Loussous-Débat is about 41 kilometers (as the crow flies) west of the city. Also in the west of the Gers department and belongs to the Côtes de Saint-Mont wine-growing region and the Armagnac brandy region . Numerous bodies of water arise, lie or cross the municipal area. The most important are the rivers Midou and Petit Midour , which form the western and eastern borders of the municipality. There are also two small dams in the municipality. The community is located away from important national transport connections. The closest bus stop is Cahuzac-sur-Adour on line 940 Tarbes - Mont-de-Marsan.

Loussous-Débat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Aignan in the northwest, north and northeast, Couloumé-Mondebat in the southeast and south, Lasserrade in the southwest and Pouydraguin in the west.

history

The municipality is historically located within Gascony and belongs to the Bas-Armagnac region . From 1793 to 1801 Loussous-Débat belonged to the Nogaro district. From 1793 to 2015 it was assigned to the canton of Aignan .
