Arroux, Bastanous and Manas belonged to the Mirande district from 1793 to 1801. Since 1801, the municipalities have been assigned to the Arrondissement of Mirande. Cazaux-Seillan belonged to the canton of Mondastarac from 1793 to 1801 and then to the canton of Miélan . Sainte-Aurence was in the canton of Miélan from 1793 to 2015. In 1822 the municipalities of Cazaux-Seillan (1821: 252 inhabitants) and Sainte-Aurence (1821: 308 inhabitants) united to form today's municipality.
