Belloc-Saint-Clamens is a French commune with 129 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gers department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande and the canton of Mirande-Astarac (until 2015: canton of Mirande ).

The inhabitants are called Bellocois and Bellocoises .

Belloc-Saint-Clamens is about seven kilometers south of Mirande in the historic province of Armagnac .

history

In 1822, the former municipality of Saint-Clamens was incorporated into the municipality of Belloc, which from then on bears the name Belloc-Saint-Clamens.

Population development

With the incorporation of the former parish of Saint-Clamens, the number of inhabitants reached its highest level of 655. In the following period, the size of the parish decreased with intermittent recovery phases until today.
