Troncens ( Gascon : also Troncens) is a French municipality with 184 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gers in the region Occitania (2015 Midi-Pyrénées ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Mirande and the municipality of Bastides et Vallons du Gers . The residents call themselves Troncenois / Troncenoises .

geography

Troncens is located around 16 kilometers southwest of Mirande and 36 kilometers southwest of Auch in the south of the Gers department. The community consists of hamlets, numerous scattered settlements and individual farmsteads. The Laüs crosses the community in a northerly direction.

Neighboring municipalities are Monlezun in the north, Tillac in the northeast, Monpardiac and Aux-Aussat in the east, Laguian-Mazous in the south, Betplan in the southwest, Malabat in the southwest and west, Blousson-Sérian in the west and Ricourt in the northwest.
