Aguts ( identical in Occitan ) is a French commune with 223 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (previously Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Castres and the canton Lavaur Cocagne (previously canton Cuq-Toulza ). The inhabitants are called Agussiens or Agutiens .

geography

Aguts is located about 26 kilometers west-southwest of Castres in northern Lauragais am Sor , which borders the community in the east. Aguts is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cuq-Toulza in the north and northwest, Péchaudier in the east and northeast, Montgey in the south, Puéchoursi in the southwest and Mouzens in the west.
